64 days to go: The forecast is pink

More wild, windy weather.
It's May and I'm wearing boots.
I am not happy with the weather right now so I am going to make my own.
It will be pink and frothy - just like my skirt and cardigan.
It is that time of year when you don’t want to wear a coat but it is too cold to leave the hosue without one. Thank goodness for the great range of cardigans on offer like the ones here.

70 days to go: Stripes and Spots

This skirt is a funny old thing.
It should look great.
It is knee length.
It is linen.
It's from Gap - one of my favourite shops.
It cost £9.99 in the sale several years ago.
It's even lined.
It's a size zero (I know labels lie, but it still feels great to wear a size zero even if the sizing is wrong!)
I never feel right in it.
The waist is a little too high.
The hem a little too flared.
However, every time I wear it
But still I can't bear to part with it.
There's only one solution - pink it up.
Here it is with my favourite colour.

84 days to go: Clematis Chic

I planted this Clematis about eight years ago and love the pretty pink flowers which wake up to the spring sunshine.
I was working at my desk for most of the day and wanted to wear something that made me feel bright and cheerful on a wet and grey Monday morning.
The clematis inspired me to dig out the pink cardigan that has been hiding in my daughter's room and while I was there is found this t-shirt that had been missing.
The stripes inspired me to pair with a starry scarf.
It has worked whatever the weather I feel happy and bright today.

241 days to go: Vote For Magazine Shoot Outfit

I need your help.
In February my husband and I will celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary and we have been interviewed by a national women's magazine which is writing a feature on the subject of marriage.
On Monday a photographer is coming to take our photograph for the magazine.
Now I have that perennial problem - what should I wear?
And that dear readers, is where I hope you will help me.
You have already seen a vast amount of my wardrobe over the past five months.
And you probably have a better objective view of what works for me.

276 days to go: Freaky Friday

I don't usually like to wear trousers or jeans during the week unless I have to as I spend most of my weekend in them.
However, today is an exception. I will be running around cleaning and tidying the house.
Why? You may ask.
The reason - the girl my son met on holiday is spending the weekend with us. They met on the first night and three months later it is still going strong.
I am looking forward to him being on his best behaviour because he has been a pain the a*** the last few weeks.
