For Better Or Worse

I am afraid I will have to leave the Blogging World behind for a while.
My husband suffers from Depression and is very bad at the moment.
I will need to conserve my time and energy in helping him get better.
I hope you all have a Happy Christmas.

PS - If you believe in fate or signs at all, the word verification for me is "unbeatin." :)

So sorry to hear this, but my thoughts are with your family. Depression is such a misunderstood illness, how wonderful that he has you to support him through it. Take care x

I'm sorry Jane. It is true what they say, depression hurts. Hang in there!

My husband suffers too, and you need to remember to be like the air steward says - "put your own oxygen mask on first, then put them on the kids" because if you don't look after yourself, you can't look after your husband.

Hope he gets a bit better too.

Love and hugs.

Oh how I will miss you!!! But I understand, I've had my own battles w/depression & anxiety so can relate totally.

I'm wishing you and your family strength, comfort, peace & love during this time. You will be thought of warmly and my hope is that you will return sooner rather than later.

(((((((hugs for Jane & fam)))))))))

Tears are streaming down my face as I read these messages of love and support from across the globe.
Please believe me when I say you will never know just how much comfort and strength those words are giving me right now.
May God bless you all.

Jane you do not know it but you have been a HUGE inspiration to me this year!!! Not only for your shopping ban (which I plan to start in the new year), but also for your commitment to your writing.
Depression is such a debilitating disease - my prayers are with you. I wish you and your family much peace and happiness for 2009.

Jane,

I have only just started reading your blog, but was really impressed at how you had taken on your challenge. You have inspired me to "Work My Wardrobe."

I am so sorry to hear about your husband's trials. I work as a chaplain, so if you need an ear, feel free to email me. My biggest area of concern is offering caregivers support. So, be sure that you take care of yourself as well.

You are in my prayers.

Thinking of you today Jane, hope your family has a wonderful day. x

I wish you and your family all the best. I hope you do continue your yearlong wardrobe challenge, even if your not blogging it. It sounds like it has been good for your family (saving money) and good for you (a creative outlet to lift your spirits). God bless you and your family!
