90 days to go:A Wardrobe For Three Seasons

I blogged about this very versatile dress and it got me thinking about my wardrobe in general and its flexibility in particular.
I wore this dress easily throughout summer, autumn and now its Spring I will be wearing it at least once a fortnight.
I did wear it in winter but it didn't feel right.
I realised that quite a lot of my wardrobe is a wardrobe for three seasons. Summer pieces can be warmed up for spring and autumn but usually the fabric means that winter won't look right.
The same for winter staples. While you can get away with spring and autumn the warmer fabric means that usually they will appear out of time in summer.
Obviously there are exceptions - jeans, these shoes and sunglasses to name but a few.
And while you are thinking about that one which way do you prefer the dress?

Self fabric belt
No Belt
Leather Belt

I wore:

Shoes - Clarks
Jeans - Levi
Dress- Ciel
Belt - Tesco
Tiara - Vintage ( my daughter's)

Hi Christina - someone threw a ball at me and after I headed it I felt I had something in my hair and I was trying to shake it out!

Hi! I just discovered your blog and I love it. You had a brilliant idea trying to "work your wardrobe" without spending a penny. I've tried that for the past 2 months, but it's difficult with all the temptations in the stores.:)

I like it belted (both styles) :D

And the tira sets it off a treat ;)

You are brave, no shopping for a year... I tried it for a month and I cracked (obviously I'm weak...). But good on you and you look great!

The colour suits you perfectly! Love it with the soft belt. Lovely hair. Did I mention it before? Ciao. A.

I like it best with the self colour belt.

It's so true - there are fabrics that work trans-seasonally, and others that are particularly summer or winter.

In these pictures, I think I like it best with the self-belt.

The self-belt it is then. Thank you so much for passing by and taking the time to leave a comment.
I have thought of something exciting for my next blog (when this experiment is over) and I will start to work on it for July.
