Today was another packed day.
In the morning I led a PR workshop for Train 2000 and instead of the 10 ladies on the list 14 turned up.
Luckily, one of those was a lady who had recently set up a cake-making business and she bought some beautiful cakes for the break.
After that I headed off to the hospital. It is a long walk up-hill and these boots had to do the trick.
So why was I going to the hospital?
Just a few days after Peter, Cathy and I enjoyed a great night out in Liverpool I got a phone call.
It was Cathy to say that Peter had slipped on some ice in Lark Lane.
A passing taxi driver saw it happen and took Peter straight to the Royal Liverpool Hospital. Although Peter tried to pay him the cabbie wouldn't take a penny and stayed with him until he got help.
When he was finally assessed they found Peter had broken his pelvis in two places. The surgeon said he normally only saw injuries like those in car crash victims.
Anyway by the time I got to visit him today he was in good spirits and looking much better than I imagined.
However, it will be several weeks before he can walk again and after that he will have to have a hip replacement operation.
Luckily Peter's girlfriend is wonderful and she has been taking care of him.
I hope the next time I see him he will be back at home.
Get Well soon Peter.

A very professional look. I loved the party look in yesterdays post as well.
Sorry to hear about your friend. Things like that (slipping and falling) happen so quickly. What a nice story about the cab driver tho.

OK, can I just say YOU LOOK AMAZING IN THIS!!!!!!!!! Awesome!
Great outfit! It is so sharp!
I adore this on you! Love the skirt w/the boots :)
Sorry about your friend...I hope he has a speedy recovery.
Sorry to hear that about Peter. Hope his recovery is speedy.
I love this look -- super polished and chic.
I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Thank goodness for that cabbie. It's like a modern-day Good Samaritan story!
Great outfit! It's really got a great 70s vibe about it, but is still very classic.
Oh, your poor friend! I am so terrified of slipping on the ice while I'm out walking (no snow, no snow, don't let it snow, no snow). I hope he gets better soon.
