67 days to go: Thanks Heavens For Teenage Sons
I was cold today and wanted something comforting.
I noticed a lovely plaid shirt on The Sartorialist and Stephanie blogged about hers.
Plaid shirts remind me of Mary Chapin Carpenter's son, "This shirt."
Which reminded me I had just picked one up off my son's bedroom floor.
It passed the sniff test so I phoned to ask if it was OK if I borrowed it.
"Can I wear your shirt?"
"Can I have the car tonight?"
"Yes.
"Deal."
So here it is.
After I took the first set of pictures it got much colder so I swapped the shoes for boots and added a jacket when I went into Liverpool for my counselling course.
I am pretty pleased with the results - I think it is bringing out my inner lumberjack!
I wore..
Boots - Dorothy Perkins
Skirt - Marks and Spencer
Shirt - my son's
Jacket - M & Co.

This is a cute look! I like the high-waisted skirt...it's very flattering.
Wow, you styled that top beautifully - I never would have guessed that it belonged to your son!
That is quite a deal!
I think you should keep...but then your son may want to keep the car...maybe not such a good idea then!
Looks terrific.
I love this. You look so sassy, and cozy at the same time. And not just because I'm partial to plaid shirts. ;-)
And oh my goodness, you posed with a log. Way to embrace your inner lumberjack!
What a great way to apply a street style to your own wardrobe! Looks great and cost effective too - well done!
Such a cute look. That skirt looks great on you and I can't believe that's your son's top - I never would have guessed it.
Great plaid. The detail of the red heart necklace sets the whole thing off for me.

I love how you used your son's shirt to you advantage, way to be creative and savvy! And it looks great to boot! S.
Super cute photos!! Love 'em! And, the plaid shirt looks great on you. It's funny... plaid reminds me of the early 90s but it is so back in right now. Everything old does become new again though. ;-)
