283 days to go: More gammon than gamine

I wasn't blessed with great legs.
When they were handing good legs out I was at the back of the queue with the little pink guys.
I suppose it could have been worse and I could have ended up with trotters!
Short and stubby the only good things I can say for my legs is that they are both in perfect working order.
Sadly my legs will never be compared to those sleek, long lithesome limbs associated with racehorses.
Instead I have to resort to trickery and when I read Kasmira's post about long legs that go on forever I couldn't wait to give it a try.
I made two attempts and stuck with the second one (the stripy cardigan).
They will never be great but OK is well, OK for now.

What a great idea for legs.
I am similar height (5'2"), size (10) and weight (8St. 7 lbs) to you so I am going to attempt the same dastardly trickery and see what happens.
I usually keep mine covered, but I love woolly tights and think they might look cute this winter.
Love

I think you should give it a try Heather - I've only seen you in trousers and long skirts. You have an extra two inches of height though so make the most of it.

Loving the second look with the stripy cardigan! I am always to be found wearing my opaque tights in winter - they are just the best! I was brave the other day and bought some coloured opaques! One dark raspberry and one real colour. I did a test run indoors with some chunky platforms and they look pretty good - now I just have to find the courage to go out the door wearing them!!

Wow! I feel like a giant at 5'4"
I love photo one. I always think my legs look longer in tights and heels.

Jane, we all are blessed in some places, and lacking in others. You were blessed with rockin' curves! I am curveless, but have nice arms and skin. And you're right to appreciate what your legs can DO for you, rather than how you think they look. I may curse my saggy boobs, but I am grateful they are healthy and cancer free. XO

Way to work that leg-lengthening magic :) I like the stripy cardigan a lot.

I love the look with the cardigan, but don't write off the first look. I love the layering and the skirt. I think the tights make your legs look great!

Wow! Thanks forthe comments. I usually hide my legs under trousers or long skirts during winter. Maybe I'll keep on trying to make a silk purse out of these sow's ears/legs!

I think the angle of the first photo could be the culprit as the outfit is really cute too!
I live in Canada where short skirts and heels aren't practical in the winter so I match my opaque tights to my boots and skirt in an attempt to extend my trotters.
Loving your outfits and your 82 buying-free days are a huge inspiration!! (contemplating it for my New Years resolution...!)
