78 days to go: Recession Beating Outfit

I didn't intend for this outfit to be a recession-beating affair although my tastes have become increasingly creative/frugal.
1. The grey long sleeved t-shirt was one I never wore because I didn't like the neckline. After snipping around the neck I got a fit I liked.
2. The necklace came free with In Style magazine which I bought on holiday in Barcelona last year. I just added the pendant to a chain I already had.
3. The fastener on the cardigan is an odd stud ear-ring I found in my jewellery box.
4 and 5. I purchased the cardigan and the skirt with funds I raised selling off some clothes I didn't wear on eBay. I used the credit from my Paypal account which I directed to my bank account and used the cash.
6. The boots were bought from Faith's Sale in 2005. They were marked down from £75.00 to £25.00
My ear-rings which I forgot to picture were made with my daughter's jewellery-making kit.
Voila - frugal fashion!
PS: The flowers are from my friend thanking us for a lovely meal last night.

I wouldn't have thought to put that combo together, but it looks great! You obviously know what works. :)

How creative to use an earring stud on your cardi! I think I'm going to "borrow" that idea myself.
