319 days to go: Ruffled Up

I get my inspiration form the strangest of places.
I remember reading this moving article written by journalist Christa D'Souza. It was about her battle against breast cancer. While the content of the interview stayed with me, so did the picture of her ruffled shirt. I haven't seen one like it but when I saw this in Precis Petite I had to have it. It was also the last purchase I made before pledging not to buy any more new clothes for a year.
Blouse: Precis Petite
Jeans: Gap
Shoes: Clark's (yes I am getting boring)
Necklace: Virgin Vie
Bracelet: Free with magazine

Beautiful. I like the way the ruffles give some privacy over the bust but it is sheer below. I'd say you went out (last purchase) with a bang!

That's a terrific blouse. It's not something that I would normally pick for myself, but the way you styled it, I could totally see myself wearing something like that! :)

Ooh, I love Precis Petite! We have that here in Canada (at the Hudson's Bay store, in a special boutique section).

I adore the ruffles, particularly with the green cardi. Very nice!

Ok ,we both posted about ruffles on the same day- maybe we had a psychic connection :) But your reason for posting is way better than mine- b/c of someone and something moving that you remembered. Very pretty blouse!
