320 days to go: Monochrome

I need to get more organised. I was still wondering what to wear while I took the dog for a run this morning.
The weather sealed the deal for me. I was cold. After getting caught in a torrential downpour while watching my 8-year-old son play football yesterday evening I was still struggling to get warm. There was a real nip in the air too. Autumn had arrived.
I wanted warm, simple and as I had lots of running around to do today, comfortable.
Time to get back to basics although I decided on brown boots after reading Jessica's tips on wearing black and brown together.
I created today's look around the skirt. Flat boots were called for and I decided to keep it clean with this formerly white shirt that I had dyed black over the summer.
Ta da!

Boots: Clark's (Xmas sale 2006)
Skirt: River Island (2008)
Shirt: Boden (2006)
Necklace: Monsoon (2006)
Belt: Wallis (2008)

Nice! What a good job you did with the dye pot too. Hope you don't get caught in a downpour again today.

Black and white always look good, and I really like your skirt.

One of the benefits of the weather turning colder is that I can get my boots out! I feel more in my comfort zone in autumn and winter clothes, it always feels much easier to put an outfit together somehow!
